Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Nursery Practitioner / Nurse to join our vibrant childcare team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with young children, supporting their early development in a nurturing and stimulating environment. Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality childcare in accordance with nursery policies and early childhood education standards
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote developmental milestones
- Supervise and support children’s daily routines, including play, learning, and rest periods
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children at all times, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Manage a team of nursery staff, providing leadership, guidance, and support to ensure smooth daily operations
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress, attendance, and behavioural notes
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's development and any concerns
- Organise staff rotas and manage daily schedules to optimise resource utilisation
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of nursery practices through feedback and professional development
Requirements
- recognised childcare qualification or nursery nurse registration
- Proven experience working with children within a nursery or early childhood setting
- Strong management and leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education methodologies
- Valid driving licence is desirable for transportation duties or outreach activities
- Passionate about providing high standards of care and education in a nurturing environment
- Ability to work flexibly according to nursery hours and adapt to changing needs of the setting
Pay: £13.00-£15.00 per hour
