Gateshead College is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Lecturer to join our successful A Level department to deliver A Level Law and WJEC Criminology on a 0.75 maternity cover basis.

The Role
You will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality teaching across A Level Law and WJEC Criminology, supporting students to achieve excellent outcomes and develop a passion for the subject. The role will include:

Planning, delivering and assessing outstanding lessons
- Supporting student progress and achievement
- Contributing to curriculum development and enrichment activities
- Working collaboratively within a successful and supportive A level team
- Maintaining accurate records of student progress and performance
About You
We are looking for someone who:

Has a relevant degree (e.g. Law, Criminology or related subject)
- Holds (or is willing to work towards) a recognised teaching qualification
- Has experience of teaching A Level Law and/or WJEC Criminology (desirable)
- Demonstrates strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm
- Is passionate about student success and inclusive teaching
- Has excellent organisational and communication skills
