As we continue to expand our commercial footprint, we are seeking an ambitious Operations/Development Manager to support our growth strategy and develop long-term partnerships with organisations across key industries.
The Role
The Business Development Manager will play a key role in supporting MediTree’s commercial growth strategy.
Working closely with the Managing Director and clinical leadership team, the successful candidate will be responsible for identifying growth opportunities, developing strategic relationships, supporting tender activity, managing commercial initiatives and helping to expand MediTree’s presence within safety-critical industries.
This role is ideal for someone who combines strong stakeholder management skills with an interest in healthcare services, business development and partnership growth.
Responsibilities
- Develop and support MediTree’s commercial growth strategy across safety-critical sectors including construction, engineering, infrastructure, energy, transport and corporate markets.
- Identify new business opportunities through market research, sector analysis, competitor review and understanding of client workforce health needs.
- Build and maintain strategic partnerships with key stakeholders, including employers, contractors, procurement teams and industry partners.
- Develop and manage client relationships, supporting engagement activities, service reviews and opportunities for business expansion.
- Support preparation and coordination of public and private sector tenders, commercial proposals and contract mobilisation activities.
- Collaborate with clinical and operational teams to develop healthcare service solutions aligned with client requirements and market demand.
- Monitor commercial performance, business development activity and key growth indicators, providing reports and insights to senior leadership.
- Support continuous improvement of commercial processes, customer experience and MediTree’s market positioning within occupational health and safety-critical industries.
Qualifications
Essential:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Management, Marketing, Healthcare Management or a related business/healthcare discipline.
- Candidates with degrees in Architecture, Engineering, Construction, Project Management, or other technical disciplines relevant to safety-critical industries are also encouraged to apply, particularly where they can demonstrate strong stakeholder management, commercial awareness, project coordination or business development capability.
Desirable:
- Qualification or training in business management, healthcare leadership, marketing, project management or related disciplines.
- Professional membership of a relevant organisation (e.g. marketing, management, healthcare or project management body).
Pay: £45,000.00-£50,200.00 per year
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Glasgow (Glasgow)
