Job Title: Support Worker (Opportunities to Progress to Senior Support Worker)
Location: Supported Living Service (Younger Adults)
Zero-hour / Bank contract (flexible shifts available, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins)

We are a supported living service providing person-centred care to younger adults with mental health needs, learning disabilities (LD), and behaviours that may challenge. Our aim is to empower individuals to live as independently as possible while promoting dignity, respect, wellbeing, and active engagement in the community.
The Role:
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Support Worker to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career, with clear pathways to progress into a Senior Support Worker role.
You will support individuals in their day-to-day lives, helping them develop independence, manage their mental health, and access meaningful opportunities within the community such as education, volunteering, and social activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality, person-centred support
- Support individuals with mental health needs and emotional regulation
- Work with individuals who may display behaviours that challenge
- Assist with daily living tasks (cooking, cleaning, laundry and prompting to attend to personal care (where required)
- Promote independence, choice, and inclusion
- Support community inclusion and social engagement
- Escort individuals to education, training, volunteering, and community activities
- Encourage development of life skills and confidence
- Follow care plans, risk assessments, and behaviour support strategies
- Maintain accurate records and daily notes
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and professionals

Requirements:
- Experience in mental health, learning disabilities, or support work (preferred but not essential)
- A calm, patient, and resilient approach
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to learn and develop professionally
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexible to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins
- NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards)
