Key Responsibilities:
- Offload coils and flat sheets efficiently and safely.
- Book coils and flat sheets into the system accurately.
- Ensure all received coils are weighed to verify supplied weights.
- Audit coil weights coming off the line by weighing coils on the movement sheet, ensuring weight accuracy.
- Organise flat sheets to optimise floor space and ensure clear segregation of materials.
- Maintain a list of offcuts with locations to assist laser operators.
- Manage and organise solar fixings in storage, utilising racking systems and minimising floor storage. Implement new racking configurations as needed.
- Maintain accurate stock levels through regular usage monitoring and stock audits.
- Pick nuts and bolts for solar assemblies, generate relevant paperwork and labels.
- Receive solar parts, verifying quantities via weight checks on samples or full loads.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, such as implementing a barcode system for stock management.
- Perform monthly stocktakes for coils and flat sheets.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven experience in a similar role within manufacturing, warehousing, or logistics environments, demonstrating the ability to handle stock management, inventory control, and materials handling effectively.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and maintain high levels of accuracy in a fast-paced setting.
- Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring precise weighing, accurate record-keeping, and thorough stock audits to support operational efficiency and quality standards.
- Proficiency in operating weighing equipment, stock management systems, and basic computer applications such as Excel or inventory software.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to liaise effectively with team members, suppliers, and other departments.
- A proactive, team-oriented attitude with the ability to work collaboratively and support colleagues to achieve shared goals.
- Flexibility and adaptability to respond to changing priorities and operational demands.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues quickly and suggest improvements or solutions.
