About us
Pro-Form Physio & Fitness is a growing private MSK physiotherapy and rehabilitation clinic based in Bexleyheath, Kent.
We combine high-quality hands-on physiotherapy with progressive exercise rehabilitation and are looking for an ambitious newly qualified or early career physiotherapist who wants to build a strong career in MSK and private practice.
The Role
Initially, the role will have a strong clinical development focus. You will receive direct clinical mentoring, protected CPD time and a structured competency pathway, with increasing autonomy, responsibility and salary as your clinical skills develop.
We are particularly interested in someone who is proactive about their own learning. We will provide significant support and opportunity, but we expect you to identify your learning needs, research conditions and treatment approaches, seek feedback and take responsibility for progressing your clinical skills.
You will gradually build your own MSK caseload while receiving structured support in:
- MSK subjective and objective assessment
- Differential diagnosis and clinical reasoning
- Treatment planning and progression
- Hands-on and manual therapy skills
- Exercise prescription and rehabilitation
- Managing common MSK conditions
- Recognising red flags and appropriate escalation/referral
- Patient communication and education
- Clinical documentation
- Managing patients independently through an episode of care
- Delivering a high-quality private practice patient experience
Your caseload and level of independence will increase as you demonstrate competency.
The aim is not simply to teach you individual techniques. We want to develop you into a clinician who can assess a patient, formulate a working diagnosis, justify a treatment plan and independently progress that patient towards their goals.
Structured Clinical Development
During your initial development period, you will have opportunities to:
- Observe experienced physiotherapists assessing and treating patients
- Complete supervised assessments and treatments
- Practise hands-on/manual therapy techniques
- Receive direct feedback on assessment, handling and treatment skills
- Discuss clinical reasoning and differential diagnoses
- Complete directed and self-directed CPD
- Gradually increase your independent caseload as competencies are achieved
Protected CPD and development time will be incorporated into your working week during the initial training period.
We expect the successful candidate to actively drive their development. You should be someone who asks questions, seeks feedback, researches areas of weakness and comes back ready to demonstrate what you have learned.
Salary Progression
There will be structured salary reviews linked to clinical competency, independent caseload management and performance, with progression towards approximately £34,000 as you demonstrate that you can safely and effectively manage an increasingly independent MSK caseload.
This gives you a clear opportunity to increase both your clinical responsibility and earnings based on demonstrated progression rather than simply length of service.
