Weekend Housekeeper
The Butterleigh Inn, Butterleigh, Devon
£12.71 per hour | Part-Time | Saturdays & Sundays | Typically 8am–2pm
The Butterleigh Inn is looking for a reliable and friendly Weekend Housekeeper to join our small team and help maintain the high standards of both our guest accommodation and the pub.
We have a collection of individually styled guest rooms and a self-contained cottage, alongside our bar and restaurant areas. We're looking for someone who takes pride in creating a clean, comfortable and welcoming environment for our guests.
The role will include:
- Cleaning and preparing guest bedrooms and bathrooms
- Changing beds and replacing linen and towels
- Replenishing tea, coffee, toiletries and guest supplies
- Cleaning and preparing our self-contained cottage
- Cleaning the downstairs areas of the pub as required, including the bar, restaurant, customer toilets and other public areas
- Vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and general cleaning
- Checking rooms are presented to a high standard before guest arrival
- Helping with laundry and other housekeeping duties as required
- Reporting any maintenance issues or damage to management
We're looking for someone who is:
- Reliable, punctual and well organised
- Thorough, with excellent attention to detail
- Comfortable working independently and managing their workload
- Friendly and happy to work as part of a small team
- Available to work Saturdays and Sundays
- Someone who takes genuine pride in keeping both our accommodation and public areas looking their best
Previous housekeeping experience required.
Hours: Typically 8am–2pm on Saturdays and Sundays, although hours may vary slightly depending on occupancy and guest departures.
There may also be opportunities for additional housekeeping and cleaning hours during the week, depending on occupancy and the needs of the business.
