We’re looking for a Senior Scrub Theatre Practitioner to join our theatres team at London Bridge Hospital, currently rated “Outstanding” by the CQC. As part of one of HCA Healthcare UK’s flagship hospitals, you’ll work in a well-established surgical centre known for delivering complex and highly specialised care. With ten operating theatres and a diverse case mix spanning cardiac, neuro, orthopaedic and hepatobiliary surgery, this is an environment where expertise is recognised and developed.
In our theatres, collaboration is at the centre of everything we do. As a senior practitioner within the team. Previous liver surgery experience would be highly desirable, enabling you to quickly contribute within this specialist service and support the delivery of safe, effective care during complex cases. We welcome applications from experienced scrub practitioners with a strong surgical background and a keen interest in developing further within hepatobiliary surgery.
You’ll gain exposure to advanced surgical techniques, including robotics and pioneering procedures, while working in modern theatres designed to support precision and innovation. What you’ll do:

Lead the scrub role for complex procedures
-
Support the safe and efficient running of theatre lists and surgical pathways

Mentor and guide junior colleagues, sharing knowledge and best practice

Ensure high standards of infection prevention, safety and patient care are maintained

Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver excellent surgical outcomes
What you’ll bring:
-
Registered Nurse or ODP with a valid NMC or HCPC registration
-
Significant scrub experience
-
Exposure to liver cases is desirable
-
Proven experience in a senior or similar role within theatres
-
Confidence in supporting complex procedures within a fast-paced environment
-
Demonstrated leadership or mentoring experience within clinical practice
