Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our busy hospitality team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen environment, supporting chefs and front house staff to ensure smooth daily operations. Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or culinary setting is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided. Duties
- Washing and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots, and pans efficiently
- Assisting with basic food preparation tasks under supervision
- Maintaining cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and kitchen equipment
- Organising storage areas and ensuring stock is stored correctly
- Supporting chefs with ingredient organisation and retrieval
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety standards at all times
- Assisting with waste disposal and recycling procedures
- Supporting the team during busy service periods to ensure smooth operations
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or culinary environment is desirable but not essential
- Knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques is a plus
- Experience in serving or hospitality roles can be advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Reliable with a strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to team needs
