As written by the client
“I have a genetic condition called Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, which affects every muscle in my body and, therefore, my ability to walk. But, I won’t let this stop me! I have a degree in Product Design from Nottingham Trent University where I graduated at the end of July. I now live at home with my parents, sister and Milly (the dog). However, due to my condition, I need a group of full time personal assistants to help me with personal care and day to day tasks.
I want to be as independent as possible, and for this to happen, I will need someone willing to be part of a team of personal assistants for me. This will allow my parents to be parents rather than my carers. I live in a fully adapted house, with the addition of a spare room for PAs.
Ideally, you will have a good sense of humour so we can have a laugh! You must be understanding and patient, and work on initiative as well as respecting my privacy.”
