Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Level 3 Early Years Practitioner to join our childcare team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the development and well-being of children within our nursery setting. The role involves working closely with children, colleagues, and families to ensure high standards of care and education are maintained.
Responsibilities
- Plan, deliver, and evaluate engaging activities that promote children's developmental milestones in line with early childhood education frameworks.
- Support children’s emotional, social, and physical development through personalised care and attention.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment that encourages learning and exploration.
- Observe and record children's progress, sharing insights with parents and colleagues to support individual needs.
- Lead by example in promoting positive behaviour and fostering inclusive practices within the nursery.
- Collaborate with team members to organise daily routines, outings, and special events.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff or apprentices as required, demonstrating management and leadership skills.
- Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding children's progress and any concerns.
- Ensure compliance with all safeguarding policies, health & safety regulations, and nursery procedures.
Qualifications
- Educated to GCSE level with passes in four or more subjects two of which are English and Maths (Essential)
- Childcare qualified to Level 3, 4 from a recognised awarding scheme (CWDC Diploma, NNEB, BTEC, NVQ, CACHE) (desirable)
- Training in the Early Years Foundation Stage (Desirable)
- Training in child protection and safeguarding children (Desirable)
- Training in behaviour management (Desirable)
- A recent paediatric First Aid certificate (Desirable)
- Fluency in written and spoken French (Desirable)
- Fluency in written and spoken English AND French and an ability to write reports as directed by the manager (Essential)
- Minimum 2 years teaching / early years childcare (Essential)
