Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with the check-in and check-out procedures
- Manage reservations, cancellations, and modifications efficiently using the hotel management system
- Provide accurate information about hotel facilities, local attractions, and services to guests
- Handle guest enquiries via phone, email, or in person with professionalism and courtesy
- Maintain a tidy and welcoming reception area at all times
- Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure guest rooms are prepared and issues are resolved promptly
- Process payments securely and issue receipts or invoices as required
- Address guest complaints or concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction
- Uphold hotel policies and procedures to guarantee safety and security for all guests
Skills
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to assist a diverse clientele
- Excellent phone etiquette with clear communication skills
- Previous experience in hotel reception or guest services is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Friendly, approachable demeanour with a professional attitude
- Knowledge of hospitality standards and customer service best practices
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and resolve issues diplomatically
