We are an Aircraft Engineering company with sites across major UK airports specialising in commercial aircraft maintenance, repair, and component production. We have had an opportunity arise for a Graphics / Print Assistant.
NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY as all training will be provided and this is a trainee role, but any previous knowledge of graphics as well as IT competency will be advantageous. Proficiency in other languages as well as English will also be advantageous.
The most important skill required is ATTENTION TO DETAIL. Our graphics department produces a huge volume of printed materials which need to be thoroughly checked for errors, so a keen eye for detail is the most important aspect of the job. Though we are a graphics department, please note this is NOT a design role. Due to regulations within the industry we are only authorised to reproduce approved artworks from external design organisations.
This job will be a great opportunity for somebody to begin a career in the civil aviation industry, as we will provide a huge amount of training both online and on the job.
DUTIES - The successful candidate will be required to assist with the following tasks-
- Reproducing placards and stencils from technical data
- Printing, laminating and cutting decals and stencils using a multitude of machines
- Assisting with porting seats and other large components in and out of storage areas
- Completing paperwork / office admin duties
- Answering / making phone calls to clients and couriers
- Delivering / collecting orders

Some of the decals we create are 13 metres long, and we also work on seats and other aircraft components, so please bear in mind some aspects of the work can be physically demanding.
Probation period will be 6 months with the possibility of a pay review at that time.
Standard hours will be 7am - 3pm, 37 hours per week with occasional overtime available at a bonus rate of pay. Please be aware some evening/weekend work will be required.
Candidates will also be expected to work occasionally at our sister site in Guiseley, so own transport and driving license is essential.
