Role:
We’re looking for a Clinical Lead to provide strategic and operational leadership across our residential treatment services. This is a high-impact role where you’ll shape clinical practice, lead multidisciplinary teams, and drive innovation in a service that transforms lives.
Working closely with the Head of Therapy, you’ll ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and evidence-based care aligned with national gambling harms frameworks and the NHS Long Term Plan.
You’ll play a key role in building a high-performing clinical function, embedding a culture of excellence, and continuously improving outcomes for those we support.
What you’ll be doing
- Lead and develop a team of CBT Therapists, providing clinical supervision, performance management, and ongoing professional development
- Deliver expert clinical input on complex cases, including formulation and evidence-based interventions (CBT and integrative approaches)
- Drive clinical governance activity, including audits, peer review, and quality improvement initiatives
- Monitor service performance and outcomes, using data to inform decision-making and continuous improvement
- Support workforce planning, recruitment, and retention strategies to build a sustainable and high-quality clinical team
- Deputise for the Head of Therapy and contribute to wider service transformation projects
- Represent the organisation externally across clinical networks and partnerships
- Champion trauma-informed, recovery-focused practice and contribute to training and organisational learning
What we’re looking for
- A qualified and accredited clinician (HCPC or BABCP) with a postgraduate qualification in CBT
- Previous experience in a recognised mental health discipline (e.g. Mental Health Nursing, Clinical or Counselling Psychology) related to addiction.
- Post-qualification experience within addiction and/or mental health services
- Proven experience leading, supervising, and developing a team of qualified CBT Therapists within multidisciplinary teams
- Advanced skills in CBT formulation and intervention, with knowledge of behavioural addiction
- Excellent safeguarding, risk assessment, and clinical decision-making capability
- A confident and credible leader, able to influence, motivate, and drive high standards of practice
- Experience contributing to clinical governance, audit, and quality assurance processes
- The ability to balance strategic priorities with hands-on clinical leadership
Desirable:
- Additional therapeutic training (e.g. EMDR, CAT, DBT, ACT)
- Gambling related harm
