BTO Contracts Ltd is a manufacturer of construction chemicals, coatings and admixtures.
We are currently recruiting for a multi-skilled production supervisor to work in our manufacturing facility in Wetherby, West Yorkshire.
The ideal candidate will own the entire production process and will be actively involved in production. They will manage other operatives and operate automation machinery to ensure operational excellence. They will also be responsible for product quality to ensure customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
· Oversee the production process and ensure that production targets are met
· Maintain a safe production environment
· Coordinate and schedule production activities to optimize efficiency
· Monitor and maintain quality control standards throughout the production process
· Implement and improve systems and processes to enhance productivity and reduce waste
· Collaborate with management and purchasing to ensure smooth operations and timely manufacture of products
· Identify areas for improvement and implement continuous improvement initiatives
· Develop and maintain business processes to streamline operations
· Provide leadership and guidance to production staff
Experience Required:
· Proven experience in a production management role
· Strong knowledge of assembly processes and techniques
· Excellent understanding of quality control principles and practices
· Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies, such as Lean or Six Sigma
· Proficient in analysing data and making data-driven decisions
· Solid mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot production issues
· Understanding of supply chain management principles
· Previous experience of machine operation, ideally using mixing and VFFS machinery
· Forklift experience
