P J Lilley are a well-established family business with a very strong client base. Based in Hucknall, Nottingham and we have clients throughout the Midlands.
Our main business is that of undertaking commercial and domestic repairs, void and maintenance contracts for housing associations, pub groups and various other commercial clients, we also undertake larger design, build and refurbishment projects.
We are looking for a Void Supervisor to join our team.
You will need to be self-motivated and have the ability to act upon your own initiative, as well as having a keen eye for detail and take pride in your work.
Key Duties
- To take the lead with the onsite delivery of void refurbishment works, including allocating labour resources, liaison and scheduling various subcontractor elements of work.
- Accurately track and record multiple voids progression.
- Continually liaise with the client and provide reports as required.
- Supervising a variety of trades and subcontractors in a fast past void environment.
- To promote a safe, positive working environment and an open-door policy for all team members.
- Provide practical and technical support to all team members.
- Produce programmes of work for any given project.
- To produce/develop, at times of need, CPPs and other working documents.
- Undertake site audits/site surveys/attend site meetings to assess required works/and register, ongoing, quality of work (good or bad).
- Induct new team members in line with company policies and procedures.
- Assess, progress, and finalise any customer complaints.
- Undertake disciplinary reviews and manage outcomes.
- To assist with other duties – as deemed reasonable and as required.
- To comply with all Company Policies and Procedures.
We would like someone who has:
- Have a good eye for detail.
- Have good organisational skills.
- Possess a suitable trade qualification and have a broad knowledge of other trades/working practises.
- Experience of working within a multi-skilled/customer focussed environment.
- Has social housing repairs/void delivery experience.
- Ability to make key decisions, be comfortable with responsibility and accountability for successful outcomes in service delivery.
- Experience of supervising or managing a team and leading by example is essential.
- Excellent problem-solving ability, a solutions-focussed approach and comfortable working within a continuous improvement environment.
- Have effective communication skills with the ability to develop good working relationships.
- IT Literacy is very highly desired, especially the use of various Microsoft packages.
- A full driving licence is essential.
- The candidate will also be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check.
The company will provide a company van, uniform, company mobile phone.
Pay: From £35,000.00 per year
