We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual with a strong background in electrical maintenance to join our Property Maintenance Minor Works Team as an Electrical Inspector. This is an excellent opportunity for an electrical professional with strong project management and technical expertise to help deliver a diverse range of electrical improvement and maintenance projects across the Authority's Non-Housing property portfolio. The successful candidate will manage electrical minor works projects from concept through to completion, ensuring compliance with legislation, industry standards, and Authority procedures while delivering quality, value-for-money outcomes.
What you’ll do
Deliver a programme of planned electrical works across our non-housing property portfolio.
Ensure full compliance with electrical regulations, CDM requirements, and health & safety standards.
Manage project budgets & timelines and contractor performance.
Provide expert technical advice for client departments and resolve complex electrical issues.
Build strong relationships with clients, framework contractors, and internal and external stakeholders.
What you’ll bring
Electrical qualification (degree or equivalent relevant experience within the electrical industry).
18th Edition + Inspection, Testing & Verification certification.
Strong project and financial management skills and problem-solving ability.
Experience delivering projects to time, cost, and quality targets.
Proactive and customer-focused with excellent communication and organisational skills.
