Job Overview
We are recruiting a Football Holiday Camp Manager to lead our Preston College holiday football programme for children aged 4–11. This is a hands-on leadership role combining football coaching delivery, staff management, and day-to-day holiday camp operations.
You will be responsible for delivering high-quality football coaching sessions, managing coaches and volunteers, and ensuring a safe, fun, and engaging environment throughout the school holiday period.
This role is ideal for an experienced football coach, sports coach, or holiday camp leader who enjoys working directly with children while also managing staff and operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the daily operation of a football holiday camp for children aged 4–11
- Deliver football coaching sessions as part of the camp programme
- Manage, support, and develop a team of coaches and volunteers
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate football activities and games
- Ensure safeguarding, health & safety, and welfare standards are met at all times
- Manage sign-in/sign-out procedures and daily camp organisation
- Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and the wider organisation
- Create a positive, inclusive, and high-energy camp environment
- Ensure smooth running of all camp logistics and daily schedules
Essential Requirements
- Experience working in football coaching, sports coaching, or holiday camps
- FA Coaching Qualification (minimum FA Level 1 / Introduction to Coaching Football / desired Level 2 / UEFA B)
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Experience working with children aged 4–11
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection practices
- Valid First Aid qualification
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one through First Kick Football)
Desirable Requirements
- Availability throughout the full six-week summer holiday period
- Flexible availability across multiple camp dates
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Experience managing coaching staff or sports programmes
