Activity Support Worker
Location: Highcliffe, Dorset
20 hours per week over three days Wednesday - Friday
£13 per hour
Love the outdoors, enjoy connecting with people, and want a job where you can really make a difference? We have a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated Activity Support Worker to join the Stable Family Home Trust.
For over 40 years, the Stable Family Home Trust has provided a caring, therapeutic environment for adults with learning disabilities. Today we support more than 50 people across seven Supported Living Homes and up to 100 people through our Day Services, based across three beautiful sites in the Ringwood and Bournemouth areas.
We're a values-based organisation focused on giving people real choices and helping them live as independently as possible. Every service user has a personalised support plan built around their own goals, helping them build skills, confidence and connections in their community.
About You:
We're looking for a dedicated, creative and enthusiastic Activity Support Worker with a passion for gardening and merchandising. You'll combine your love of nature with a genuine desire to support people in engaging, enriching activities — whether that's teaching gardening skills, serving customers in the café, or leading outdoor sessions that encourage personal growth.
You tailor your support to each person's interests and needs, and you're committed to creating an environment that promotes independence and well-being.
If you believe everyone deserves to be seen and valued, you'll fit right in with an organisation that champions creativity, collaboration, and equity and diversity.
About the Role:
As part of the Day Services team, you'll provide day-to-day support that promotes independent living and helps people enjoy an active, fulfilling life in the community. Hours and days can be flexible.
Day to day, you'll coach and support service users in plant care, visual merchandising and customer service, always promoting their independence, rights and dignity. You'll build strong relationships with service users, families and colleagues, follow risk assessments, and — with full training — administer medication and keep accurate records in line with our policies.
You'll need to be UK-based with the right to work in the UK, as we're unable to offer visa sponsorship.
