We’re looking for a professional, organised and people-focused HR Advisor to join our team and provide a high-quality HR service across our Independent School, Children’s Home, Adult Care Home and Central Administration Team.
This is a varied role where you’ll be a key point of contact for HR queries, while supporting HR administration, recruitment, onboarding, employee records, safeguarding checks and compliance.
The Role
You’ll play an important part in:
- Managing employee records, HR documentation and the employee lifecycle.
- Coordinating recruitment, interviews, references, DBS checks and onboarding.
- Maintaining the Single Central Record and ensuring safer recruitment requirements are met.
- Monitoring compliance including DBS renewals, mandatory training, qualifications and professional registrations.
- Supporting managers and employees with routine HR queries, policies and procedures.
- Providing administrative support for probation, absence and employee relations processes.
- Producing HR reports, maintaining workforce trackers and supporting inspections and audits.
About You
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in HR administration, HR support or a similar administrative role.
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Confident handling confidential and sensitive information.
- Comfortable managing competing priorities and meeting deadlines.
- A strong communicator with a professional and customer-focused approach.
- Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Able to build positive working relationships and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- A CIPD Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience is required, with CIPD Level 5 or experience within education, social care or another regulated environment desirable. Knowledge of safer recruitment, employment law, Ofsted, Independent School Standards or CQC requirements would also be an advantage.

Pay: £34,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
