The Role of a Practitioner...
As a Qualified Nursery Practitioner, you will be role modelling your knowledge and best practice to colleagues, the children and the families that attend LASC.
- As a key worker, you will ensure every individual child's needs are met.
- Safeguarding children is your priority.
- Speak Up against practices that don't support safeguarding or Our Core Values.
Service: We are one of two nurseries within a large childcare service providing care for children aged 6 months - 16 years in Nursery, Out of School Care and Additional Support needs service.
- Working in partnership with parents.
- Support parents with any ASL needs.
- Embrace and promote our Standards of Excellence in every part of your role.
- Be a key member of the team to plan and implement daily / weekly activities to meet the children's individual learning needs.
- Adhere to our childcare policies.
- Create a setting that is clean and welcoming, with well-kept educational resources.
- Ensure that children's observations are detailed, reflective and provide developmentally challenging next steps.
- Working as part of a team to provide the best care and early years experiences as possible.
Your Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum SVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Early Years / Childhood Practice
- Previous experience working and caring for children under 5
- Passion to deliver high quality childcare and exciting learning opportunities
Experience:
- Childcare: 1 year (preferred)
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £13.45-£13.80 per hour
