We're currently recruiting experienced Class 2 Refuse Drivers to work with a well-established local authority in Salford, Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity to secure regular work with a fantastic work-life balance, working just four days per week.
The Role
As a Class 2 Refuse Driver, you'll be responsible for safely operating refuse collection vehicles while working as part of a professional waste collection team. You'll play an important role in keeping the local community clean and ensuring collections are completed safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Safely drive and operate Class 2 refuse collection vehicles.
- Complete scheduled waste and recycling collections across the Salford area.
- Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and report any defects.
- Work closely with the loading crew to ensure collections are completed efficiently.
- Adhere to all road traffic regulations and health and safety procedures.
- Deliver excellent service to the local community.
Requirements
- Valid UK Class 2 (Category C) driving licence.
- Valid Driver CPC qualification.
- Digital Tachograph Card.
- Previous Class 2 driving experience is preferred.
- A positive attitude with a strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
- Good knowledge of driver hours and road transport regulations.
