Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Fundraising Director to lead our organisation’s fundraising initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to maximise donor engagement, secure funding, and enhance the organisation’s profile within the community. Duties
- Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies aligned with organisational goals
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective donors, partners, and stakeholders
- Oversee the organisation’s CRM software, including Raiser's Edge, to manage donor information and track fundraising activities
- Plan and coordinate fundraising events, campaigns, and outreach programmes
- Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to promote fundraising initiatives effectively
- Prepare compelling proposals, reports, and presentations for potential donors and grant-making bodies
- Monitor fundraising performance metrics and prepare regular progress reports for senior management
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and organisational policies in all fundraising activities
Skills
- Proven experience in fundraising, including successful grant writing and donor cultivation
- Strong background in marketing, public relations, and customer service principles
- Excellent relationship management skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders
- Proficiency in CRM software, particularly Raiser's Edge or similar platforms
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to inspire confidence and enthusiasm
- Ability to organise multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of organisational development strategies related to fundraising growth
