Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Tyre Fitter / Wheel Aligner to join our dynamic automotive service team. In this role, you will be responsible for fitting, repairing, and replacing tyres, as well as performing precise wheel alignments to ensure optimal vehicle performance and safety. Duties
- Remove and replace tyres efficiently using hand tools and power tools, ensuring proper fitment and safety standards.
- Conduct wheel alignments with precision equipment to improve vehicle handling and tire longevity.
- Inspect tyres for damage, wear patterns, and tread depth; advise customers on necessary repairs or replacements.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on wheel alignment machines and other workshop equipment to ensure optimal operation.
- Assist customers by explaining repair procedures, providing recommendations, and answering questions professionally.
- Use heavy lifting techniques safely when handling large or heavy tyres and wheels to prevent injury.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
Requirements
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in tyre fitting or automotive maintenance preferred.
- Proficiency with hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and tyre levers; familiarity with power tools is advantageous.
- Experience operating wheel alignment machines or similar diagnostic equipment is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively on a daily basis.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures and safety standards is essential.
- A proactive attitude with a keen eye for detail to ensure high-quality workmanship.
