Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Pest Control Area Manager to lead and oversee pest management operations within a designated geographical zone. This role involves supervising teams, managing client relationships, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality pest control services. During the initial growth phase, the Area Manager will personally undertake pest-control inspections, treatments, surveys and client visits while helping recruit and develop engineers within the region. As the regional team grows, the role will progressively move toward operational leadership and team management
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise pest control teams across assigned areas, ensuring adherence to safety standards and company policies.
- Coordinate daily operations, including scheduling appointments, allocating resources, and monitoring team performance.
- Develop and implement pest management strategies tailored to client needs, ensuring effective and sustainable solutions.
- Foster strong relationships with clients by providing professional advice, resolving issues promptly, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Conduct regular site inspections to assess pest activity levels and evaluate the effectiveness of treatments.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, including proper handling of chemicals and equipment.
- Manage inventory levels of pest control products and equipment, placing orders as necessary to maintain operational efficiency.
- Train new team members on pest control techniques, safety procedures, and company policies.
- Prepare reports on operational activities, client feedback, and team performance for senior management review.
Experience
- RSPH Level 2 qualification in Pest Control
- Physical fitness to undertake inspections and treatments in various environments
- Full clean UK driving licence.
- Proven supervisory experience within the pest control or related industry is essential.
- Demonstrable management skills with a track record of leading teams effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate staff and foster a collaborative team atmosphere.
- Knowledge of pest control methods, chemicals, health & safety regulations, and environmental considerations is highly desirable.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently whilst maintaining attention to detail.
- Previous experience in client relationship management will be advantageous.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in pest control or environmental health are preferred but not mandatory for highly experienced candidates. Pay: £38,000.00 per year
