Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide high-quality support to individuals in a care home or home care setting. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be proficient in IT, and have a genuine desire to improve the lives of those they assist. Duties
- Assist clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
- Support clients in accordance with individual care plans, ensuring their needs and preferences are met
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment
- Maintain accurate records of care provided using IT systems and update care plans as necessary
- Drive clients to appointments, social activities, or errands safely and responsibly
- Monitor clients’ health and report any concerns to healthcare professionals or supervisors
- Ensure the safety and well-being of clients at all times by adhering to health and safety protocols
- Collaborate effectively with team members, healthcare professionals, and family members to deliver consistent care
Experience
- Previous experience working in a care home or providing home care is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Familiarity with creating or following care plans is advantageous
- Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes are required
- Good communication skills in English are essential for effective interaction with clients and team members
- Driving experience and a valid driving licence are highly desirable, as the role involves transporting clients safely
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to care work is beneficial
