This role involves providing strategic leadership for Adult Social Care commissioning services within a local authority. Responsibilities

Lead the execution of intricate commissioning programs in Adult Social Care.

Offer strategic oversight for high-value procurement and recommissioning projects.

Promote continuous improvement, service innovation, and cost-effectiveness.

Aid in the development of sustainable care markets and enhance outcomes for residents.

Participate in strategic service planning and organizational development.

Ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and comply with statutory requirements.

Monitor risks, dependencies, and program performance.

Develop and uphold program plans and governance structures.
Requirements:

Significant experience in leading Adult Social Care commissioning services.

Proven success in delivering complex commissioning and procurement programs.

Experience in managing high-value contracts, frameworks, and service transformation projects.

Strong leadership skills with experience in managing commissioning teams and staff development.

Experience in local government, Adult Social Care, or public sector environments.

Experience collaborating with senior stakeholders, providers, and partner organizations.
Essential Qualifications Required

Degree-level qualification or equivalent professional experience.

Evidence of ongoing professional development in commissioning, procurement, social care, public sector management, or a related field.
