The Role
Kennedys Accounting Ltd is a growing, client-focused accountancy practice in Ashford, Kent, recognised for delivering proactive support and a high standard of customer service.
As the Senior Payroll Administrator at Kennedys Accounting Ltd., you will take responsibility for managing the payroll services offered to new and existing clients on a day-to-day basis, alongside supporting the department’s growth strategy.
The focus of this role will be to take the lead on client service within Payroll, ensuring this is at the core of what we do and always at a consistently high standard, whilst supporting the wider team to deliver best practice, with proactive, value-added advice given to clients.
Reporting to the Manging Director, you will be required to take a hands-on approach. You will need to possess a high degree of accuracy in ensuring quality financial information and reporting is provided, along with ensuring accurate records are maintained in accordance with statutory payroll obligations. Additionally, you will be experienced within a fast-paced environment where you are confident building and maintaining relationships in a professional manner.

Key Responsibilities
- Process and oversee end-to-end payrolls for a combination of weekly and monthly payrolls covering a wide range of clients and industries, ranging from dual-director companies to large monthly payroll clients with in excess of 100 employees, with complex pay structures.
- Maintain accurate payroll records.
- Ensure that all pension information, returns and payments are processed on time.
- Manage all third-party payments and reporting.
- Manage the integrity of the data held within the payroll system to GDPR standards.
- Oversee and ensure that all data is accurately input into the payroll system in accordance with statutory and contractual obligations and timescales.
- Ensure that appropriate, timely and accurate pay advice is provided to clients.
- Ensure that changes required due to legislative changes are implemented in a timely manner.
- Work with both the payroll and wider team to ensure add-on services for payroll provided by Kennedys Accounting Ltd are actively marketed to clients.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge.
- Proactively develop and improve systems and processes, working practice and service delivery.
About You
- Highly numerate, with at least 3 years’ experience working in payroll bureaus / practices.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Pay: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
