Overview
We are seeking friendly and enthusiastic Casual Bar Staff to join our vibrant team. This role offers flexible hours suitable for individuals looking to gain experience in the hospitality industry. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing excellent customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for patrons. Previous experience in a restaurant or bar environment is preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided. This position is perfect for those who enjoy socialising and working in a lively setting.
Duties
- Serve drinks and light refreshments to customers in a courteous and efficient manner
- Take orders accurately and handle cash or card payments using the till system
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including glassware and utensils
- Assist with setting up and packing down the bar before and after service shifts
- Engage with customers to enhance their experience, ensuring they feel welcome and valued
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during busy periods
- Follow all health and safety procedures diligently to maintain a safe environment for both staff and customers
- Collect used glassware from tables during applicable events
Requirements
- Previous experience in hospitality, food safety, or serving roles is advantageous but not mandatory
- Strong organisational skills with good time management abilities
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour
- Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and during peak hours
- A positive attitude with a willingness to learn new skills in a fast-paced environment
- Must be at least 18 years of age to serve alcohol legally
