PART TIME CAT SITTER REQUIRED FOR ALL AREAS OF LIVERPOOL. Please only apply if you are fully available otherwise your application will not be considered.
This is a self employed role, hours can be from between 15 - 35 hours a week depending on how busy we are.
We are seeking a caring and responsible Part Time Cat Sitter to provide companionship and basic care for cats in clients' homes. This role is ideal for individuals with a passion for animals and experience in veterinary or animal care fields. The position offers flexible hours, making it suitable for those seeking part-time work or supplementary income. The successful candidate will be entrusted with ensuring the wellbeing and comfort of cats during their owners’ absence, delivering excellent customer service and maintaining a professional attitude at all times.
Responsibilities
- Feed and provide fresh water to cats according to clients’ instructions
- Clean litter trays and ensure the environment remains hygienic and safe
- Engage in gentle play and provide companionship to minimise stress for the animals
- Monitor cats’ behaviour and health, reporting any concerns to clients promptly
- Administer medication if required, following specified guidelines
- Maintain a clean and organised work area during visits
- Follow all health and safety protocols, including COVID-19 protective measures where applicable
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding their pets’ wellbeing and any issues encountered during visits
Experience
- Strong understanding of feline behaviour and needs
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanour
- Ability to handle heavy lifting when necessary, such as carrying supplies or equipment
- Passion for animals with a genuine interest in providing compassionate care
- Prior experience in pet sitting or similar roles is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided where needed
