Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm
Salary: £12.71 per hour

We are currently recruiting for a Temporary Operational Support Assistant to join our team in Rawtenstall. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience within the care and technology-enabled care (TEC) sector, with full training and support provided.
You will play an important role in supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the service, helping to coordinate TEC equipment, appointments and enquiries while providing a professional and compassionate service to service users and other key stakeholders.
About the Role
As an Operational Support Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
- Acting as the first point of contact for enquiries, referrals and TEC equipment installations.
- Providing day-to-day administrative and operational support, including answering calls, data entry, booking appointments and distributing information.
- Scheduling technician visits efficiently and helping to optimise appointment routes.
- Liaising with service users, their families, GPs, nurses, social workers and community organisations to coordinate care and support.
- Learning to triage TEC equipment issues and providing basic fault-finding support before escalating more complex issues.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date service user records across internal systems, including TCES and UMO CRM.
- Handling sensitive and confidential information appropriately and in line with data protection requirements.
- Preparing documentation for new service users.
- Responding promptly and professionally to routine queries from customers, colleagues and external stakeholders.
- Supporting the team to achieve operational KPIs and maintain high-quality service standards.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure service users receive a reliable, efficient and compassionate service.
- Taking a flexible approach to your workload and assisting with other operational tasks when required.

Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational and administrative abilities.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy when working with information and records.
- Confidence using computer systems, databases and CRM systems. Full training will be provided.
- The ability to manage and prioritise your workload effectively.
- A proactive and flexible approach to work.
- The ability to work well both independently and as part of a wider team.
- A compassionate and customer-focused approach.
- An understanding of the importance of confidentiality and handling sensitive information appropriately.
- The ability to adapt quickly and remain organised within a fast-paced environment.
- A willingness to learn about TEC equipment, systems and procedures.
- Previous experience within an administrative, customer service, healthcare or operational environment would be advantageous but is not essential.
