Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing personalised support to young people, fostering their development and well-being. Responsibilities
- Offer one-to-one support to young people, encouraging their personal development.
- Assist with daily activities, including educational tasks, leisure pursuits, and social interactions.
- Implement tailored programmes to promote learning, behavioural management, and emotional well-being.
- Mentor Adults through various challenges, fostering resilience and self-esteem.
- Support Adults in developing life skills such as communication, organisation, and socialisation.
- Collaborate with families, educators, and other professionals to ensure consistent support strategies.
- Maintain accurate records of progress and any incidents in accordance with organisational policies.
- Promote a safe, inclusive environment that respects individual needs and preferences.
Qualifications
- Experience working with young people is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
- Strong mentoring skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
- Passion for supporting Adults development through teaching and guidance.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to make a positive difference in young people's lives.
- Ability to work flexibly within scheduled hours, including some evenings or weekends if required.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in Adult care or social care are advantageous but not mandatory.
