About the Role:
Bristol is renowned for its engineering heritage and dynamic innovation, and at Minda Kubota Engineering & Farm Solutions Ltd, we apply that same high standard to modern agricultural machinery and tech infrastructure. We believe that reliable operations start with rock-solid internal tech. We are looking for an IT Support Technician who can take ownership of our day-to-day desktop and network systems. You aren't just fixing printers; you are enabling engineering and operations teams to build world-class machinery without tech interruptions. You will be the primary point of contact for staff troubleshooting, bridging the gap between hardware needs and cloud software platforms. You are the champion for user support in a room full of engineers and managers.
Why Work With Us?
- The Environment: Our Bristol facility combines advanced manufacturing support with modern office spaces—think dedicated workspaces, collaborative engineering labs, and a welcoming team atmosphere.
- Tech Maturity: We don't need you to convince us that reliable IT matters. We know it does. You will have a clear voice in setting up efficient workplace tech from Day 1.
- Modern Stack: We work heavily with Microsoft 363, Active Directory, and hybrid networking solutions, so you get hands-on experience with industry-standard platforms.
- Growth: You will have access to ongoing certification support and training programs to keep your technical and systems skills sharp.
Key Responsibilities:
- Helpdesk Support Ownership: Act as the first line of defense for internal tickets. Provide prompt, effective support for hardware and software issues across all company departments.
- Systems Administration: Manage Microsoft 363 accounts, set up new users in Active Directory/Entra ID, and maintain system access permissions safely and securely.
- Hardware & Network Maintenance: Deploy, configure, and maintain PC desktop hardware, mobile devices, local area networks (LAN/Wi-Fi), and peripherals across our office and facility.
- User Support & Onboarding: Don't just patch issues; empower staff. Guide users through software workflows and ensure smooth IT onboarding for new team members.
- Asset & Documentation Management: Maintain precise records of technical inventory, licenses, and network configurations to keep IT operations organized and transparent.
What We Are Looking For:
- Experience: 2+ years of hands-on experience in IT Support, Helpdesk, or Desktop Support roles.
- Technical Proficiency: Deep understanding of Windows 10/11 operating systems, Microsoft 363 suite administration, and standard enterprise computer hardware.
- Tooling & Networking: Familiarity with network diagnostics (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN setups) and ticketing software ecosystems.
- Communication Skills: Clear, professional verbal and written English skills are required to assist non-technical team members with patience and clarity.
- Mindset: You are a pragmatic problem solver. You know how to triage urgent technical issues during critical operations while keeping a positive, supportive attitude.
