DAL Electrical Services Ltd is a leading NICEIC Approved Electrical Contractor delivering high-quality electrical engineering, Installation, inspection, testing and compliance services across the commercial, industrial, utilities and renewable energy sectors.
Due to continued growth and the expansion of our inspection and testing requirements, we are looking to recruit an experienced Electrical Tester to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual who takes pride in producing high-quality work and maintaining the highest standards of electrical safety and compliance.
Working on a diverse range of commercial and industrial projects, you will be responsible for carrying out electrical inspection and testing, producing accurate certification, identifying defects and advising on remedial works. You'll work independently and alongside our experienced engineering teams, building strong relationships with clients while helping ensure their electrical installations remain safe and compliant.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) on commercial and industrial electrical installations.
- Undertake initial verification, inspection and testing of new electrical installations in accordance with BS 7671.
- Diagnose electrical faults and identify non-compliances, recommending appropriate remedial works.
- Complete all electrical certification accurately, including Electrical Installation Certificates (EICs), Minor Electrical Installation Works Certificates (MEIWCs) and EICRs.
- Ensure all testing complies with current BS 7671 Wiring Regulations and Guidance Note 3.
- Produce clear and accurate reports detailing observations, coding and recommendations.
- Liaise professionally with clients and site representatives
- Complete digital job sheets, certificates and reports using company software.
- Adhere to all company Health & Safety procedures, RAMS and permit-to-work systems.
- Support remedial works where required following inspection and testing.
- Work independently and as part of a wider engineering team across multiple client sites.
- Participate in toolbox talks, safety briefings and ongoing technical training.
Requirements:
· City & Guilds 2391-52 or 2394/2395 (or equivalent Inspection & Testing qualification).
· NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation or equivalent.
· 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
· ECS Gold Card.
· Full UK Driving Licence.
· Previous experience carrying out EICRs in commercial and industrial environments.
· Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
· Strong communication and report-writing skills.
· Competent using tablets, testing software and Microsoft Office.
