New Day Children’s Services Ltd is a new and growing organisation with a passion for providing outstanding care and support to children and young people. We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Deputy Manager to join our team at our Residential Children’s Home in the Salisbury area.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a developing service, work alongside a dedicated management team, and play a key role in creating a safe, nurturing and positive environment where children and young people can thrive.
Available shift patterns are:
40h a week – these can vary to meet the needs of the business.
Salary:
£32,000-£37,000 depending on experience.
Duties:
- To build positive relationships with children and young people who have experienced trauma.
- To support the manager in completing manager audits, Reg 44 visits, Reg 45 report, and OFSTED visits
- To support the manager in updating the young people’s documentations and reviewing incidents and safeguarding reports.
- To have a full understanding of safeguarding procedures and report to external agencies including LADO, MASH and OFSTED as required.
- To line manager, develop and mentor team members.
- To support with updating care plans, home documentation and day to day administrative tasks.
· To have a knowledge of Regulatory Notifications and submit these when required.
- To be able to supervise, carry out probationary meetings and debrief adults as required.
- To hold on call responsibilities.

Requirements
· Full driving license
· NVQ Level 3 Residential Childcare qualified or working towards
· Have at least 12 months of experience working in a position in a residential setting with young people
· Ability to work flexible hours to support the staff team and participate in an on-call rota as required.
· Strong numeracy, literacy and computer skills,
· Strong communication skills
