Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Plasterer on a CIS basis to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plastering and masonry, with the ability to work with various materials and tools. As a Plasterer, you will be responsible for applying plaster to walls and ceilings, ensuring a smooth and even finish. Your expertise will contribute to the overall quality of our construction projects.
Duties
- Prepare surfaces for plastering by cleaning, smoothing, and applying bonding agents as necessary.
- Mix plaster according to specifications and apply it to walls and ceilings using hand tools and power tools.
- Ensure that plaster is applied evenly and achieves the desired finish, including decorative elements as required.
- Repair damaged plasterwork, including patching holes and cracks to restore surfaces to their original condition.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as carpenters and bricklayers, to ensure seamless integration of work on construction sites.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following health and safety regulations.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively in the course of your duties.(must have own hand / 110v power tools)
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Plasterer or in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of masonry techniques and materials.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and equipment related to plastering.
- Ability to read technical drawings and specifications accurately.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
- Strong physical stamina and the ability to perform manual tasks for extended periods.
- A valid driver’s licence is preferred for travel between job sites.
