Required for September, an Assistant Chef to work in this busy high school environment.
You will be required to assist the Chef in providing a high quality, cost effective and innovative catering service.
Preparing, cooking and serving food and drink will form an essential part of your daily routine. Experience working in a busy kitchen & hospitality environment is preferable, with a good knowledge of food safety standards, allergens, COSHH and HACCP. The successful candidate needs to be qualified to NVQ Level 1/2 or have a willingness to work towards this, be self-motivated and able to work as part of a 12-person team.
The post is 27.5 hours per week, term time only plus 5 days. 7.45am to 1.45pm with a 30 minute unpaid break.
As part of the school’s commitment to developing support staff, training will be offered to suitable candidates. The post is permanent subject to the successful completion of a 6-month probationary period.
