Overview
This role is responsible for delivering a high-quality retail experience for customers both in-store and online, encouraging immediate and repeat purchases. The position combines excellent customer service, strong product knowledge, effective sales techniques, and efficient stock control to support the smooth day-to-day operation of the business. The role also contributes to maintaining attractive merchandising standards, accurate inventory management, and engagement with customers through digital channels.
Duties
- Provide a welcoming and professional customer experience across in-store, telephone, and online channels.
- Assist customers in identifying suitable products through effective questioning and product knowledge.
- Promote key products, seasonal items, and special offers to drive sales.
- Process transactions, manage customer orders, and ensure accurate and timely fulfilment of online purchases.
- Handle customer enquiries and complaints in a prompt and appropriate manner.
- Maintain stock levels through regular monitoring, replenishment, and accurate stock control processes.
- Receive, check, and correctly book in deliveries.
- Ensure product displays are clean, organised, and visually appealing.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and hazard-free working environment.
- Manage live bait stock, ensuring quality, cleanliness, and proper maintenance of related equipment.
- Monitor and communicate stock levels, availability, and ordering requirements.
- Stay informed on market trends, competitor activity, and relevant local or industry developments.
- Support social media activity by contributing content related to products, promotions, and industry news.
