Rutledge Recruitment is currently seeking Precast Setup Technicians for a leading manufacturing company based in the Ballymena area.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing production team involved in the manufacture of high-quality precast concrete products for major construction and infrastructure projects across the UK and Ireland. The successful candidates will be responsible for setting up precast units, preparing moulds, interpreting technical drawings, and ensuring production targets and quality standards are achieved.
Work Schedule:
40 hours per week
Daily working hours:
- 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM, or
- 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Working hours will be confirmed at interview stage.
Two 30-minute breaks per day.
Pay Rate:
Starting from £16.00 per hour, equivalent to £33,280 per year, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up precast units including moulds, reinforcement positions, lifters, inserts and associated components
- Read and interpret technical and construction drawings accurately
- Prepare moulds and equipment in line with daily production requirements
- Assist with concrete pouring and finishing processes to required specifications
- Work to daily production plans and targets
- Liaise with technical and production teams to resolve any issues
- Complete production records and documentation accurately
- Maintain high housekeeping standards across the production area
- Participate in continuous improvement and problem-solving initiatives
- Comply with all health, safety, environmental and quality procedures
- Work flexibly across different production areas as required
- Attend training and development activities when required
Requirements / Desirable Skills:
- NVQ Level 3 in Construction or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience
- Minimum 3 years' experience reading technical drawings and carrying out pour setups
- Previous experience within construction, manufacturing or civil engineering environments
- Ability to read and interpret technical/construction drawings
- Good understanding of health and safety procedures
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Good understanding of written and spoken English
Desirable:
- Experience using hand tools, air tools and power tools
- Counterbalance Forklift Licence
- Overhead Crane Licence
- CSR Card
- First Aid Training
- Fire Warden Training
