New Formation Education is recruiting on behalf of a specialist school in Croydon, supporting pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and complex medical and learning needs.

The Role
As a PMLD Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
- Help pupils access personalised learning activities tailored to their individual needs.
- Support communication, sensory engagement and emotional wellbeing.
- Assist with personal care, including toileting, feeding and mobility support where required.
- Use specialist equipment such as hoists and sensory resources (full training provided where needed).
- Work closely with teachers, therapists and healthcare professionals.
- Create a calm, safe and nurturing learning environment where every pupil can thrive.

We're Looking For
We'd love to hear from candidates with experience in:
✔ PMLD or Complex Needs Schools
✔ SEN Schools (PMLD, SLD, MLD or Autism)
✔ Residential Care or Supported Living
✔ Healthcare or Nursing Support
✔ Occupational or Physiotherapy Support
✔ Specialist Nursery or Early Years SEN Settings
You will be:
- Caring, patient and compassionate.
- Calm and emotionally resilient.
- Comfortable supporting personal care or willing to receive training.
- Proactive and attentive to individual needs.
- Passionate about supporting children with complex needs to achieve their potential.

Essential Requirements
- Experience working with children, young people or vulnerable adults.
- A caring and patient approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
- Right to work in the UK.
