Support Worker
Location: Trinity, Llandudno
Rate: £13.45 per hour
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time (37.5 hours per week)
Working Pattern: Rota-based, including evenings and weekends

We are currently recruiting Support Workers to join our service in Trinity, Llandudno, supporting adults with mental health needs, learning disabilities, autism, and other additional support needs.

About the Service
Located just off the seafront and close to the town centre and train station, our residential home provides care and support for up to five individuals with varying support needs.
The people we support enjoy a wide range of interests, including shopping, arts and crafts, singing, spa days, swimming, and fishing.
The service benefits from excellent public transport links and easy access to local shops and community facilities.
Service User Interests
The people we support enjoy a variety of activities, and Support Workers play a vital role in enabling these experiences, including:
- Arts and crafts
- Days out, including theme parks, meals out, social events and Christmas markets
- Holidays and short breaks
- Walks in local parks, nature reserves and the wider community
- Cooking and baking to develop independent living skills
- Fishing
- Swimming and leisure activities
The Role
As a Support Worker, you will:
- Deliver person-centred support in line with individual support plans
- Assist with daily living skills and personal care where required
- Promote independence, dignity, choice and wellbeing
- Support individuals to access activities, appointments and their local community
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Work effectively as part of a team and independently when required
- Work a flexible rota including evenings, weekends, bank holidays and sleep-ins
Sleep-ins: Sleep-ins are not included within contracted hours and are voluntary. However, you may be asked to undertake sleep-ins to meet the needs of the service. Sleep-ins are paid as a separate fixed payment rather than at the hourly rate.
Who We're Looking For
We're seeking caring, patient and respectful individuals who have a positive and resilient approach to supporting others.
You will:
- Have excellent communication skills
- Be reliable, flexible and dependable
- Be comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Have basic IT and written communication skills
- Be committed to promoting independence and positive outcomes
No previous experience is required. If you have the right values and enthusiasm, we'll provide full training and a structured induction programme.
Completion of mandatory training is required.
Requirements
- Willingness to work towards a Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care
- Ability to work flexible and unsociable hours on a rota basis
- Drivers are desirable but not essential
- Enhanced DBS check required (paid for by CareTech)
