About Us
We operate an active, fast-growing 3D printing setup in Northampton creating high-detail collectibles and custom products. We run a dedicated fleet of modern FDM printers and are looking for someone hands-on to help keep production moving smoothly day in, day out.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Print Farm Operation: Keep the fleet running—starting scheduled jobs, clearing beds, and ensuring daily production runs smoothly.
- Routine Upkeep: General printer TLC like swapping nozzles, changing hotends, clearing the occasional jam, and keeping belts and rails clean.
- Slicing & Job Prep: Setting up print plates in software like Bambu Studio or Orca Slicer, getting orientation right, and adding clean supports.
- Basic File Checks: Making sure STLs are solid and ready to print before hitting start (we have workflows to handle heavy design/cad work—you just need an eye for spot-checking files).
- Quality & Packing: Checking finished parts off the bed, cleanly removing supports, and prepping orders for shipping.
What We’re Looking For
- Real hands-on experience using modern FDM printers (whether from a previous job, university workshop, or running your own tuned setup at home).
- Comfortable navigating slicers like Bambu Studio, Orca, or PrusaSlicer.
- Practical mindset—you enjoy working with tools, swapping parts, and troubleshooting physical hardware when a print doesn't stick.
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and happy working in a relaxed, steady workshop environment.
Pay: From £12.71 per hour
