Duties
- Assist with the preparation and cutting of slate materials using hand tools and power tools under supervision
- Support the assembly of slate products according to specifications and quality standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the yard, including storage areas and workstations
- Operate basic warehouse equipment such as forklifts or pallet trucks (training provided)
- Help load and unload materials, ensuring safe handling practices at all times
- Follow health and safety procedures diligently during all tasks to create a safe working environment
- Support team members with general tasks to keep production flowing efficiently
Skills
- Basic mechanical knowledge or interest in understanding machinery and tools
- Experience with hand tools such as hammers, chisels, or screwdrivers is advantageous
- Familiarity with power tools like drills or saws is a plus but not required—training will be provided
- Ability to perform assembly work accurately and efficiently
- Previous warehouse experience is beneficial but not essential; enthusiasm to learn is key
