Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our vibrant team. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages and providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. Your role will involve not only preparing coffee and other drinks but also ensuring that our customers have a delightful experience every time they visit.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the workspace, ensuring adherence to food safety standards.
- Assist in food preparation and presentation, ensuring all items meet quality standards.
- Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service during busy periods.
- Engage with customers, taking orders accurately and providing recommendations when needed.
- Handle cash transactions and operate the till with basic maths skills for accurate billing.
- Monitor stock levels and assist in inventory management to ensure adequate supplies are available.
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive working environment and support each other in daily tasks.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a café or food service environment is preferred but not essential.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions and managing orders accurately.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety regulations is advantageous.
- A friendly disposition with excellent communication skills to engage effectively with customers.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
- A willingness to help colleagues and contribute positively to the team dynamic.
