Reporting to: CEO, Centre Manager, Group Financial Controller
Hours per week: Full time (37.5 hours) per week, Monday to Friday between the hours of 08:30 and 17:30. In addition, occasional weekend duty for additional remuneration.

Job Description
Responsible to the CEO for all duties and reporting to the Centre Manager and Financial Controller on a day-to-day basis, the Senior Accounts Administrator will be part of the finance team responsible for all aspects of ELC group accounting and finance.
The Senior Accounts Administrator will be primarily responsible for day-to-day accounts receivable and payable, credit control, debtors reporting, sponsored student invoicing, room rental and licensing invoicing, multi-currency administration, month-end reconciliations, quarter-end preparation. Additionally, support for junior accounts team members, as well as the CEO, Centre Manager, Financial Controller & the admin teams when required.
1. Day-to-day running of accounts department
· Oversight of daily reconciliation of receipts for GBP/EUR/USD accounts
· Allocation of receipts to Educational Tour Operator (ETO)/student accounts and posting on Class (CRM system) sales ledger
· Process all purchase ledger invoices, ensuring all approved and authorised
· Manage student and ETO debtors list and remind students to make their regular payments
· Run supplier payments on a weekly basis
· Run batch sales invoice run on weekly basis
· Collect host family and tuition payments from students directly
· Control of card and cash receipts and payments and cash safe-keeping
· Control of petty cash in Brighton school
· Reconciliations of Social Activity takings
· Organising lunch/pocket money for groups/individuals
· Bank runs to make deposits/withdrawals and get change when needed
2. Obtaining settlement for sponsored students
· Invoices embassies for sponsored students periodically
· Ensure financial guarantees obtained and are correct
3. Room rental and licensing invoices
· Raise room rental invoices
· Prepare licence to occupy/rate agreements
· Monitor aged debt and chase as necessary
4. End of month and quarter accounts preparation
· Post all day books to Xero
· Post journal adjustments as and when required to nominal ledger
· Reconcile company Barclaycard purchases
· Reconcile all bank accounts monthly
· Reconcile Class ledger monthly
· Assist with preparation of quarterly/management accounts as needed
5. Multi-currency administration
· Reconcile multi-currency receipts/payments
· Revalue foreign currency accounts at quarter-end
6. Support accounts Assistant, CEO, Centre Manager, Financial Controller and administration teams as and when required
· Assist Admin teams with student finance and payment queries
· Assist with price changes, promotions and other Class and website updates
· Cover Group Financial Controller role in absences/annual leave
Personal Qualities/Skills
Essential
· Knowledge of Xero
· Qualification such as AAT or equivalent
· Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel Functions
· Experience of sales ledger, purchase ledger, credit control, bank reconciliation, bookkeeping and double-entry
· Experience of cash collection and control
· Excellent accuracy and efficient data entry
· Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills
· Excellent internal and external customer service skills
· Excellent communication skills
· Good standard of written and spoken English
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Excellent computer literacy
Desirable
· Experience of multicurrency transactions
· Knowledge of PCI DSS
· Experience of effective communication with overseas customers
· Awareness and understanding of a variety of cultural backgrounds
· Proficient in managing international business correspondence
