The Role
As a Surgical Ward Nurse, you will be working across a mixed-speciality ward, including orthopaedics and other elective surgical procedures. You will deliver high-quality, patient-centred care to individuals throughout their surgical journey — from admission to discharge.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, effective, and evidence-based nursing care
- Monitor and assess post-operative patients
- Manage care plans and maintain accurate clinical documentation
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Support and educate patients and families
- Ensure compliance with clinical governance and infection control standards
Requirements
- Registered General Nurse (RGN) with active NMC registration
- Previous experience in a surgical ward setting (orthopaedics desirable)
- Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively within a team
- Commitment to delivering exceptional patient care
