Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team at Blossom Home Care. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in senior and dementia care, with proven leadership skills in managing care home or home care environments. As Deputy Manager, you will support the management team in delivering high-quality, person-centred care, supervising staff, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Responsibilities
- Assist the Care Manager in overseeing daily operations within the care home or home care environment, ensuring smooth service delivery.
- Supervise and support care staff, fostering a positive team culture that emphasizes excellent patient and client outcomes.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of personalised care plans tailored to individual needs, including dementia and Alzheimer's care.
- Ensure medication administration is conducted accurately and safely in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
- Monitor compliance with health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and quality standards across all aspects of service provision.
- Lead staff training initiatives focused on assisted living, nursing home practices, dementia care, and medication management.
- Support the recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing development of team members to maintain high standards of senior and home care.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in assisted living or nursing home environments, with a strong understanding of senior and dementia care practices.
- Demonstrated supervisory or management experience within a care home or home care setting.
- Knowledge of developing and managing care plans tailored to individual needs, including those requiring Alzheimer's or dementia-specific support.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide multidisciplinary teams effectively.
- Familiarity with medication administration protocols and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients, families, staff, and external agencies.
- Relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 or 5 in Health & Social Care or equivalent are preferred.
