Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Kitchen Porter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen environment, supporting culinary staff, and ensuring smooth daily operations. Responsibilities
- Wash, clean, and sanitise dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to maintain hygiene standards.
- Support the cleaning of kitchen surfaces, floors, and storage areas to ensure a safe and tidy environment.
- Help with waste disposal and recycling procedures in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Restock supplies and ensure that all necessary items are available for daily operations.
- Support the kitchen team during service periods by organising workstations and ensuring smooth workflow.
- Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to prevent accidents or contamination.
Skills
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is advantageous but not essential.
- Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen hygiene standards.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Good physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks such as lifting or moving equipment or supplies.
- Willingness to learn new skills related to culinary operations and hospitality service.
