About the role
We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated Year 3 Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive primary school in Rotherham from September 2026.
This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside an experienced teaching team, supporting pupils as they continue their Key Stage 2 learning journey. We are looking for someone who is passionate about helping children achieve their full potential and who can make a positive contribution to our school community.
The Role
As a Year 3 Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support teaching and learning within the classroom.
- Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning.
- Help create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
- Assist with the preparation of classroom resources and activities.
- Encourage pupils' confidence, independence, and social development.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support pupil progress.
- Promote high standards of behaviour, safeguarding, and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
· Support the learning and development of children within the Nursery setting
· Deliver engaging activities in line with the EYFS framework
· Promote children’s social, emotional, language, and physical development
· Support children through play-based learning opportunities
· Build positive relationships with children, parents, and staff
· Assist with observations, assessments, and learning records
· Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all pupils at all times
Role Overview:
We are looking for a motivated individual who is passionate about supporting children’s learning and development. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to help create a positive, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment.
Requirements
Salary is dependent on experience, qualifications and training. All successful applicants will:
· Experience in working with children in a school or specialist setting
· A nurturing, patient and consistent approach
· Have referenceable experience working in a school setting.
· Be passionate about education, with a desire to help young people thrive.
· Be an excellent communicator with a positive, can-do attitude.
· Ideally hold a full, clean driving licence and have access to vehicle.
