Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Mobile Repair Technician to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a variety of mobile equipment and machinery in diverse environments. Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on mobile equipment, including excavators, forklifts, and other heavy machinery
- Diagnose faults using schematics and electrical diagrams, then perform repairs accordingly
- Fabricate components as needed using welding, soldering, and assembly techniques
- Utilise hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to repair or replace parts efficiently
- Perform mechanical repairs such as welding, fabrication, and assembly of parts
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using schematics and electrical experience to identify solutions
- Ensure all repairs meet safety standards and comply with company policies
- Assist in the installation and setup of new equipment or machinery on-site
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, maintenance activities, and parts used
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding repair status and technical issues
Requirements
- Proven experience in fabrication, welding, soldering, electrical work, or mechanical repair
- Strong knowledge of schematics and electrical diagrams
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance tools
- Experience with heavy machinery such as excavators or forklifts is highly desirable
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Mechanical knowledge combined with practical skills in assembly and equipment repair
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Customer service orientation with clear communication skills
- Relevant certifications or qualifications in electrical or mechanical trades are advantageous

Pay: £26,420.00-£32,000.00 per year
